OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, October 1—Digital 6 Labs proudly announces that its Whisker IO solution was featured in connected hand soap dispenser in a live demonstration at this year’s re: Invent 2015 conference hosted by Amazon Web Services in Las Vegas.

D6 Labs, contracted to provide the critical hardware technology and engineering services to SealedAir and ThingLogix in order to create a workable prototype of an Internet connected hygiene device.  The working prototype was presented as a live demo at the conference and validates the advanced functionality and usefulness of connected devices when combined with Amazon’s Web Services.  The hygiene devices were prominently featured throughout the convention center area, Amazon IoT Pavillion, and ThingLogix booth #1055.  This is a sign of things to come in the IoT space and was huge hit for all attendees interested in IoT.

“This demo exemplifies the value of the D6 Labs Whisker IO solution and it's exciting to have it showcased at re:invent,” explains Steve Montgomery, Founder of Digital Six Labs. “We appreciated being the ‘engine under the hood’ on this project and future collaborative efforts with innovative friends such as SealedAir and ThingLogix in the future.”

"D6 Labs has been an excellent partner,” said Carl Krupitzer, Chief Executive Officer for ThingLogix. “They have been incredibly collaborative and creative in their solution designs and have produced reliable LoRa devices quickly and cost effectively. We believe that LoRa technology and WhiskerIO has great potential with some of our most challenging IoT deployments."

“D6 Labs provided a creative solution in a timely manner to help us deliver a proof of concept device in a timely and cost effective way,” says Fano Bekker, Global Marketing Director eServices at Diversey Care, a part of Sealed Air.

Using the Whisker.IO IoT solution platform, D6 Labs were able to go from prototype to working solution in a matter of weeks. “This was not just a proof of concept,” claims Steve Montgomery, “it was a proof of production.  This solution is deployable now and only requires additional development to reduce cost and improve manufacturing efficiencies.”

Whisker.IO is a fire-and-forget wireless IoT solution platform capable of up to 4 miles operating range and 5 years battery life.  The solution includes a range of gateways, battery powered sensors capable of measuring temperature/humidity/pressure/light and more, and FCC certified RF modules that can be embedded into OEM products.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is an emerging technology market that Gartner research projects to be more than $26 billion by 2020. D6 Labs is an engineering services and hardware company focused on the IoT space by transforming IoT into real-life, workable solutions for businesses.
